Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | David Letterman (born 1947) is a late-night Talk Show host famous for defining the genre in the post-Johnny Carson era. Letterman's shows (The David Letterman Show in 1980, Late Night from 1982-93, and Late Show with David Letterman since then) came to be known as examples of the "Anti-Talk Show", a show that is relentlessly self-aware and intent on deconstructing the conventions of the very medium that gives it life. |
