Fridge Brilliance: See C.J.'s Heroic Sacrifice below. Not only does he take out a whole mess of zombies by blowing up the bus, but the flaming wreckage effectively barricades the marina, allowing the others to cast off unimpeded.
Hilarious in Hindsight: Zack Snyder (the director) and James Gunn (the writer) would later make DC Extended Universe movies.
Nausea Fuel: Both versions have this potential.
Tear Jerker: Nicole having a final moment with her dad before he dies and reanimates as a zombie and is shot by Kenneth.
