Him and Her

Him & Her (2010-) is a situational comedy which focuses mainly on the main characters, Becky and Steve, dealing with their whacky neighbours, friends and relatives. Hilarity Ensues.

The action rarely leaves Steve's (and eventually Becky's) flat, the focus is based more on the various characters, and their clashing personalities. While a comedy, there are more serious moments scattered here and there.

Tropes used in Him and Her include:

Alpha Bitch:
- Laura is a post school version of this trope. She's shallow, she's petty and self centred to the point where you want to reach through the screen and strangle her. Her smug attitude doesn't help at all.
- Becky has very brief moments of this.
- Steve's ex-girlfriend Julie.
Attention Whore: Laura has the gift of turning every conversation back to herself, and acts as if someone's done her a great injustice should they talk about themselves. Her husband Paul can be just as bad at times.
Bratty Half-Pint: Paul's son, Luke.
British Brevity: Him and Her only has two series, the first with six episodes, the second with seven.
Butt Monkey: Steve. Poor poor Steve.
Caught with Your Pants Down: One episode sees Steve all ready for some much needed alone time when Becky and co unexpectedly come back to the flat.
Character Focus: For a comedy, Becky has had a lot of character focus during series two.
The Ditz: Shelly, but she's really very sweet.
Entitled Bastard: Laura is very much a female version of this, she's spoilt and expects the world to revolve around her. Paul has his moments.
Fan Service: Becky spends a lot of time in long t-shirts and panties around the flat, her actress happens to have gorgeous slender legs.
Hooked Up Afterwards: Come the end of the second series, it seems like Dan and Shelly are heading this way.
Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Both Steve and Becky show signs of this now and again.
Loners Are Freaks: Dan comes across like this.
