Line 89:
** Libra was a run-of-the-mill supervillain whose own superpower stealing device backfired on him when he tried to target the entire universe with it, and become a god. After being spread out across the cosmos, he eventually reformed on Apokolips and swore fealty to Darkseid. In Final Crisis, it is revealed that he was turned into an embodiment of the Anti-Life Equation itself who can't be targeted by the Spectre. Other than that, he lacks the Nigh Invulnerability most other Abominations possess and was apparently killed by Lex Luthor.
** The 5th Dimensional Imps, of which Superman villain Mr. Mxyzptlk is the most famous, have become an example of this. They can more or less wear the laws of physics like a funny paper hat, and while they tend to appear as cartoonish characters, those aren't their true forms. Luckily, most of them aren't interested enough in meddling with our universe, and those that do are permitted only to cause mischief. Of course, sometimes hiccups occur, like the time Mxyzptlk made the well-intentioned mistake of giving his reality-reshaping powers to the Joker.
** One of Alan Moore's early and best works, Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?, is set in an alternate possible future where Superman is getting ready to retire - up until something moving at super-speed kills everyone he loves! The culprit: When he , he appears as a jagged-edged humanoid tear in space with malevolent eyes and maws, and Lois points out for the benefit of us readers that it hurts her eyes just to try and look at it, like all the angles are wrong. Now THAT begins to approach the idea of a being from the Fifth Dimension}}. Lois, acting as Narrator, can't even describe him:

*:* A good chunk of the main characters in Lucifer are like this. The title character and other angels, fallen and otherwise, appear like Winged Humanoid types most of the time but certainly don't behave very human, and their powers are far beyond. The Silkman looks like a man made of silk, and Jin En Mok look like the last human they ate - both are surviours of the destruction of what's described as "an earlier, cruder Creation". Notably, at one point, Lucifer flies out to just in front of the Source mentioned above and totally ignores it; it's simply beneath his notice at the time.
*:* The Green Lantern comics have Atrocitus, one of the Five Inversions and among the most well known of the Rage-powered Red Lanterns.
**:* Of the various alien entities that exist as incarnations of the emotional spectrum's various colors, the one that fits this trope is none other than . Created by the darkness preceding the universe, Nekron is such an Eldritch Abomination that he can't even exist as a physical entity otherwise.
* Marvel Comics:
** The Eternals are indistinguishable from humans. They are also immortal and incredibly powerful (almost Physical God level) thanks to their ability to channel cosmic energy. It's worth noting that the same experiments that created the Eternals also created mutants and the monstrous looking Deviants. All three of these groups are technically still human but understandably have difficulty thinking of themselves as such at times.
