Hyouge Mono is one of the Spring 2011 anime series, Based on the 2005 – 2017 manga by Yoshihiro Yamada. In the age of civil war, when the shadow of Nobunaga Oda was still cast over the land, the warlord Furuta Sasuke lost his soul to the tea ceremony. While war shook the world around him, he faced his own conflict between his desire for promotion and his love for his art. Animated by Bee Train, produced for NHK Network.

Creator Backlash: For unknown reasons the original manga author and the editorial staff walked off the project as consultants. The author also asked his credit be changed from "original story" to "original concept" (or "original work" to "original scheme" depending on the translation).

Troubled Production: The series has had a fair share of behind the scenes drama. It started with the band member of cro-magnon which co-composed the music and wrote the theme song getting arrested on a drug charge suspicion then the original author and the editorial staff walking off the project and asking for a credit change.
