Anime

• Yamato blowing away an Abyssal air wing with one volley of type-3 shells.
• Fubuki, desperate to prove herself to the Admiral, overextends during battle and collapses helpless before a volley of shells, with one of them headed for a direct hit. Kongou swoops in and deflects it with her fist.

The Movie

• In the initial battle, Tenryuu deflects Abyssal shells with her sword.
• During the final attack on Savo Sound, Kitakami and Ooi ready their torpedoes for an initial salvo...and Yuudachi blows past them, and goes ham POI on the Abyssals. This from the girl who quaked in fear at being asked a question about her own torpedoes in class -- "Nightmare of Solomon" indeed!

Radio Dramas

• "Hiei's Curry" is a Crowning Moment of Awesome for Nao Touyama, voice of the four Kongou sisters and the four Takao sisters. Not only does she voice all eight characters in the radio drama, she voices the Kongou sisters adopting each others' mannerisms.
