- Hey, It's That Voice!: Sumire Uesaka, the voice of Fubuki (among others), was also the voice of Nonna in Girls und Panzer. (Two very different voices, for sure.) Appropriately, "fubuki" means "blizzard" ... and "Blizzard" was Nonna's nickname.
- Saki Fujita, the voice of Akagi (among others), provided the voice samples for Hatsune Miku, and also voiced Hyuuga in Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-.
- No Export for You: Early on, the game was closed to Japanese IP addresses only and featured Japanese ships only. This provoked the creation of Warship Girls, a Chinese clone that was open worldwide and featured ship girls from all of the nations which participated in World War II. As of 2016, KanColle is technically available worldwide and includes a few representative members from other navies, but there's still a focus on Axis navies, and unlike Warship Girls, no plans to translate into other languages are in the offing.
- Talking to Herself: Usually, the ships of the same class share a voice actress, and in the anime usually stick together.
- Special mention goes to Nao Touyama, voice of the Kongou-class battleships (Kongou, Hiei, Haruna, and Kirishima), the Takao-class heavy cruisers (Takao, Atago, Maya, and Choukai), and the Ayanami-class destroyers Ayanami and Shikinami. The Kongou sisters were major characters in the anime, as were Takao and Atago, so she was often holding entire conversations with herself. The Kongou sisters also have a couple of Image Songs, in which she sings all four voices, and the first KC radio drama ("Hiei's Curry") is nicknamed the "One Nao Show" because all of the characters (the Kongou and Takao classes) are voiced by her.
- Likewise, Sakura Ayane voices the Nagato-class battleships (Nagato and Mutsu), the Sendai-class light cruisers (Sendai, Jintsuu, and Naka), three of the Kuma-class light cruisers (Kuma, Tama, and Kiso), and Shimakaze.
