  • Executive Meddling: The original script ending had Dave and the Terenzi brothers all being killed. The producers wanted something more "upbeat" and three different endings were shot. One had just Dave dying, another had just the Terenzi brothers dying, and the final version (the one they ended up using) had all of them living.
  • Hey, It's That Guy!: That's Christopher Titus as Bob McReed, the bespectacled teenager who meets an unfortunate end.
  • The Killer Klowns and their equipment were designed by the Chiodo Brothers, who also designed the "troll" effects for Ernest Scared Stupid and the "ghost" animatronics for Universal Studios' Ghostbusters Spooktacular.
