Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Die for Our Ship:
    • Hino: Despite this being a series where Hino can end up with anyone, some yaoi fangirls will turn her into a Rich Bitch that only cares about about herself and the guy she's dating (which is usually Kaji who is also portrayed as a terrible person). And this comes from the people who support Tsuchira/Tsukimori.
    • Tsuchira: For anyone who would rather have Hino with someone else, Tsuchira is usually portrayed as a more extreme version of the clingy jealous guy who constantly tries to beat Kahoko into submission.
    • Kaji: He has it just as bad as Hino. While in most stories, he's not portrayed as a jerk that just wants Hino for sex, but in the stories where Hino cheats on whomever she's with to be with him, he's usually portrayed as a Jerk Jock instead of the White Prince that generally cares for most of his rivals (except for Yunoki).
  • Fan-Preferred Couple:
    • Hino with either Tsukimori or Hihara.
    • Shimizu and Fuyuumi.
  • Launcher of a Thousand Ships: Hino.
  • Magnificent Bastard: Yunoki.
  • Shipping Goggles: Amou would happily ship Hino with any guy, and she even says how lucky Hino is to have danced with "the three hottest guys" -- Shimizu, Aoi, and Kazuki -- during the Cultural Festival (though, unknowing to her, Hino also danced with Yunoki). More recently, Amou lets it slip to Tsuchira that she thinks Tsukimori might be Hino's "main choice."
  • The Woobie:
    • Hino at certain points in both the anime and the manga.
    • Hihara when going through his Break the Cutie phase.
    • Fuyuumi as well, who gets picked on by her upperclassmen who are jealous of her playing skills. It doesn't help that she doesn't rank high in the competitions, and some random guys tell Shimizu and her that the freshmen should drop out if they suck so much.
