Crazy Awesome: A case could be made for Keita's father, not only is he a Shipper on Deck for his son and daughters (crazy) but he's portrayed in such an over-the-top manner (awesome) whenever he holds a speech about his kids to finally get going at it (really crazy) he does so with sound effect, lightning and speed lines (really awesome). He also has Cool Shades. He may be a parody on Kamina.
Love It or Hate It: A rather illustrative example using two anime news websites: when Anime News Network did its Spring Preview, all but one reviewer (he gave it a 2) gave the series a score of 0/5 or worse (one gave it a Picard Facepalm) and not only blasted the show for being absolute trash, but also branded its fans as creepy losers. On the flipside, Sankaku Complex (home of the aformentioned creepy losers) gleefully recapped (link NSFW) each episode, paying loving attention to the aspects ANN savaged.
