Fridge Brilliance

  • If you read Humbert's description of nymphets, it's quite clear he's attracted to young girls who have already been abused.

Fridge Horror

  • During H.H's first night with Lo she wakes up and mutters something about a boat when he tries to fondle her, sleepily addressing him as "Barbara". Later we learn that at summer camp she lost her virginity to a boy she and her campmate Barbara would visit by boat. Although she was consenting to to it, (according to Humbert) it comes off as disturbingly PTSD-ish.
