- America Saves the Day: Subverted due to the WPA being the leading force against Zerstorung, rather than the US military despite their seeming political power over all the other countries in the world.
- Brainwashed: Done by Melody on several occasions to force Miyoti into doing her bidding, but only once by Zerstorung to deceive Emily into fighting for him.
- Cain and Abel: Zerstorung and Melody are brother and sister.
- Death Is Cheap: Thanks to the technology that allowed RED and BLU to go at it with the same mercenaries for so long, death isn't a concern for the WPA unless it's Zerstorung dealing the deaths.
- Duel to the Death: Miyoti Sr. finally meets with Zerstorung at the occupied Reichstag, only to die by his hand, but don't worry, his son is supposed to attempt the same thing.
- The Multiverse: When Zerstorung opens the portal to the Pokemon universe, made easily accessible due to the Engineer's teleporter incident.
- War Is Hell: Practically the entire premise of the story.
