Only for a rather nasty case of History Repeats to come into play later on with Mysterio hanging Chavo upside down on a turnbuckle and doing the exact same thing to Chavo. Unsurprisingly, Chavo quit that time.
Too Good to Last: YMMV by miles on that one, but at one point, Rey actually managed to win the WWE championship. Almost the whole locker room was celebrating, until later on in the night... guess who got a title shot?
Win the Crowd: Not so much the crowd, but the fact that Rey has become World Champion makes this more of a corporate one. Due to his size, wrestling style and the fact he isn't a star "made" by WWE, Vince McMahon was reluctant to ever push Rey into the main event. The sheer quality of his matches and ability to get over with WWE's target demographic, however, eventually led to him becoming one of the company's biggest names and a consistent main eventer.
