Robin/YMMV

These things about Robin are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

My Real Daddy: Tim Drake was created by Marv Wolfman and Pat Broderick, but it was Chuck Dixon that gave him a distinguished personality and more than just a carbon-copy of Dick Grayson with a different backstory, a constant criticism of Jason as Robin.
Replacement Scrappy: Jason Todd was basically Dick in all but name, and seemingly only existed because Dick outgrew his old identity to become Nightwing. His hatedom grew so big that DC actually bet to see if fans would vote (by telephone) to kill him, that they did. In fact, before his eventual resurrection as Red Hood, a common saying in fan circles during the 90s was that he wasn't going to be resurrected, ever, unlike many other major characters, similar to Spider-Man's Uncle Ben and Bucky Barnes(that also was resurrected during the mid-2000s).
