Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Draco in Leather Pants: Sakuya has a really good Freudian Excuse and does somewhat get better, but more than one fangirl forgets that at best he's a Jerkass Woobie, and his treatment of Aine skirts Rape Is Love many times.
    • Double Standard: OTOH, many fans blame Aine and bash her as a "Mary Sue" (anime) or an "Extreme Doormat" (manga), but they say nothing about Sakuya because he's OMG SO HOT. Even worse, some go as far as to victim-blame Aine for all of the abuse heaped on her and saying that she is responsible for said abuse.
  • Ho Yay: Atsuro and Towa, in the anime.
  • Idiot Plot: In the anime, most of the situations are consequence of bad decisions and things that the characters shouldn't do or say. The worst part is that they obviously should know that, like the record company producer making stupid decisions or Sakuya admitting his past as a troublemaker to a reporter.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Sakuya, if you feel charitable due to his Break the Cutie backstory.
  • Magnificent Bastard: Ralph
  • Mary Sue: Anime!Aine has been accused many times of being one, specially since she appeared only in the second half of the anime.
  • The Woobie: If you're charitable to Aine, she comes off as this. Considering how the universe seems to bend over to fuck up with the girl's life, it's with good reason.
  • Yoko Oh No: In-story. Not only Aine was attacked by Aucifer rabid fanbrats, but in the manga she actually lost a friend when said "friend" found out she was Sakuya's girlfriend.
