This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | From 1756-1763 this was one of the most important wars in history and the largest of the classical eighteenth century style power struggles. It was in a way a bipolar war, consisting of the struggle between various nations for control of Central Europe, and the struggle between Britain and France for control of overseas markets and colonies. It led both to The American Revolution and to the founding of The British Empire . It was also arguably the beginning of the decline of France and the acceptance of Prussia as a Great Power. There was fighting in several theaters including Europe, North America, and India. One could argue that this, not World War I, was the first truly global war. |
