Covered Up: Notable in that two original versions exist from the same time frame: Cracker released their version of "Sick of Goodbyes" (co-written by Linkous and Cracker leader David Lowery) around the same time it appeared on Sparklehorse's Good Morning Spider album. The two versions are roughly the same in popularity.
Crowning Music of Awesome: Knives of Summertime, Sick of Goodbyes, King of Nails, Rainmaker... the list goes on.
Funny Aneurysm Moment: His cover of Galveston features the lyrics "Galveston, oh Galveston, I am so afraid of dying/Before I watch your sea birds flying in the sun..."
And then there's Pig. "I wanna try and die, I wanna try and die..."
The tiny, little-known B-side "Haint" is just... well, don't listen to it before going to sleep, let's put it that way.
Nightmare Fuel: It's up in the air how accidental it is, but Good Morning Spider (the song) is creepy as fuck when you notice the quiet, indistinct radio chatter in the background. Same goes for Sunshine, and in fact several of the songs on the album.
