The ninth officio puts them in suits that dampens the effects, but also increases their lifespan and gives them more control over their abilities. Even so, even when they wear the suits, they still often make Magical Girls near them queasy. That said, Culexus can do magic things other than magic (like predict the future).
* [[Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?]]: Some no name rank and file Venenum thought Chiaki was asking for a kiss. Chiaki at this point wields a ridiculous amount of authority and the Venenum was quite possibly obliged to indulge Chiaki. The Venenum was even in a relationship! This power imbalance was probably to the Venenum's liking as it gave her an excuse for doing something sexual with someone that wasn't her partner. To her disappointment, Chiaki shoved her away. Chiaki was just asking for water.
