Although he is the only [[Our Vampires Are Different|chiropteran]] to have a permanent, visible indication of his inhuman nature - a literal red right hand with monstrous claws - he is unequivocally a good guy, and the only chevalier in the series who never fully transforms into a monstrous chiropteran combat form, instead [[Willfully Weak|limiting himself]] to transforming his other hand and {{spoiler|growing batlike wings}}.
