Broken Base: One major reason for one of the Broken Base s in X Japan fandom (whether he or Heath is a better bassist). Has somewhat of his own Broken Base now, after the D.T.R. disbandment.

Fandom Rivalry: Taiji vs. Yoshiki, Taiji vs. Heath.
Fan Dumb: Attracts somewhat less than the rest of his former bandmates. Mostly his was in the form of "Taiji go back to X!" (never mind he had valid reasons for not wanting to, despite having reconciled with Yoshiki, and that he eventually DID go back to perform with X Japan), though there was a short-lived flare of Internet Counterattack with the breakup of D.T.R.
- That said, is due to attract a fair amount from Dead Artists Are Better if hide was any indication.
- The great majority of Fan Dumb Taiji attracted other than the "go back to X" crowd and the "you can't break up your own band" fans are the fans that believed liking Taiji and hating everyone else makes them special fans and more deserving of respect.
