Sufficient main text, good selection of examples (and more than 10). I say we release this one to the wild.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

I wanted to add a 40K example, but the problem is nothing really matches the lore and I don't know how to play the game. I also have another example from a old TMNT game that I have, but the catch is that neither TVT or us have a page for it and that game isn't exactly page-worthy.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

We can list the TMNT game example without a page to link to.

No issues with launching this once it's had a pass for grammar.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

I've done a grammar and spelling sweep of the page. I didn't remove the unused section headers yet, since we haven't given everyone time to weigh in here.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Honestly? Given the teeming crowds that fill the Workshop night and day, I think we've gotten about as many responses as we can expect. But let's give it at least 24 hours before finishing the launch.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

And it's more than 24 hours now. Launching.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

Well, going by TVT, most of the genre headers are kind of irrelevant. But when it comes to cinema, I feel that we're missing a few examples; but I'm not sure if qualifies if I list every time an artillery barrage misses its target.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Artillery missing its target is not this trope -- that's just bad aim, since artillery can be both accurate and powerful. This is more about things where the inaccuracy is a fundamental part of the whole, or inescapably scales in direct proportion to the power used.

Second, the genre headers are part of a template -- they're not expected to be relevant in every case, they're there for the cases that need them.

Third, using TVT as a yardstick or a model of "how it's done" will not gain you friends here. They do not set our policies or procedures, and in many ways they are the opposite of what we want to do with the site.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

I apologize, then.

RabidTanker (talkcontribs)

Well, the good news is that I found another example after going through my games.
