Can anybody think of an alternate description that has something to do with tropes? I know "scrub the floor / your hands / some other surface" and "scrub a launch", neither of which are particularly tropeworthy.

If there is a tropeworthy definition other than the one given in the article, we should move this page to "Scrub (gaming)" and make a disambiguation page pointing at all the definitions. If there isn't, then we can leave this page alone.

There's the sense of wiping someone's electronic trail or history, IIRC. And there's also the sense of "to abandon or cancel something", as in "we had to scrub the mission".
