Coming up on a month without more context or examples... does anyone even care about these things?

And that was two weeks ago. Nuking this in 24 hours or less unless someone actually edits it, as opposed to idly objecting to the nukage.

I would've added more, but what kinda of examples do we need? Plus, Tales of the Abyss has a weird system...Yeah it's an rpg and the charries rank xps to level up, but it's a bit different than the rpg/jrps/arpgs that I'm used to playing.

The general rule is three examples to qualify as a potential trope, and five (preferably ten) examples with full context to launch.

I'll count the Final Fantasy sub-examples as separate They, plus Tales of the Abyss now, all have reasonable context, though I think more detail would be nice; Blue Dragon doesn't. I'm not sure the description for Bravely Default Flying Fairy is sufficient, but it probably is, barely; its subexample about the sequel is entirely context-free -- all it says is that the game has a skill slot system, and doesn't indicate whether it is the same as or different from its predecessor.

So, eight examples, only five of which have suitable context. If I were to launch this now, I'd nuke the context-free examples -- and I'd think the page was almost empty.

And if these are the only examples out there, perhaps we're trying too hard to make this a trope.

So, I should just get rid of Blue Dragon (I was planning to go to Blue Dragon wikia and fish out for research)? I don't know if I placed it there, but I kinda know BD and TotA (I don't have the sequel yet).

If you have the resources to provide the detail necessary to change it from a zero-context example, by all means do so.

I went to the strategy wiki and rewrote it for the examples. Does it work?

Yes. Needs a little grammar fix, but I'll do that. Oh, and we can take the context tag off it and Tales of the Abyss.

And now that it's launched, what you should do is go to those works listed as examples (the ones with pages here, at least) and add this to their trope lists.
