The Laconic page used to read "Seventeen year old Suzume Iwato closes doors releasing Eldritch Abominations into the world throughout Japan."

After today's edit, the Laconic page reads "Seventeen year old Suzume Iwato closes doors that are releasing Eldritch Abominations into the world throughout Japan."

By my reading, that inverts the meaning. Are the Eldritch Abominations entering the world because the doors are open, or because the doors are closed? (They're Eldritch Abominations; they aren't bound by the laws of physics.)

Could somebody who has actually seen this movie chime in, please?

They are entering through the opened doors and she has to close the doors to deny them entry.

Thanks. The revised version is the right one, then.

The Eldritch Abominations are entering the world if the doors are open. The doors must be closed so the Eldritch Abomination worms cannot enter the world. Apologies for any misinterpretations in my original laconic entry.
