- Description
- This template is similar to the {{trope}} template, but is used to flag those pages which fall in the grey area where {{trope}} and {{Useful Notes}} overlap, describing more how we work with tropes within the wiki than describing a particular trope.
- Syntax
- Place {{meta-trope}} at the top of the article. This makes a bar that looks like this:
- Options
- {{meta-trope}} is functionally identical to {{trope}} and has all the same options:
- With a page parameter, specify a particular parent page to display the template for. Potentially useful for subpages of subtropes, but mainly done for parallelism with {{work}}. This is what
{{meta-trope|page=Tropes Are Flexible}}
produces:
- With a wppage parameter, specify a particular Wikipedia article to link to. This is useful for when Wikipedia has an article on the subject in question, but its title doesn't match up. This is what
{{meta-trope|wppage=Chintzware}}
produces:
- See Also
- {{trope}} for tropes, {{work}} for works, {{creator}} for creators, {{website}} for websites, and {{Useful Notes}} for Useful Notes.
