Even a competitive show like The Biggest Loser is bound to have its share of Heartwarming Moments.

  • In the final episode before the Season 9 finale, Michael lost 23lbs, which put him at 299lbs. Why is this here? Becuase Michael started the season at 526 pounds, and stated in an earlier episode that the smallest he had ever been as an adult is 301 pounds. For this man to weigh less than 300 pounds for the first time in his adult life shows how important the process was to him.
  • In the very first episode of Season 8, watching a group of strangers band together to ensure that Tracey finished the challenge is a sight to behold. Truly a case of "no man left behind" (well, "woman" in this case).
  • Bob Harper coming out on TV as a gay man in episode 7 of Season 15 just to help Bobby overcome his own homosexuality definitely qualifies as this.
  • For as divisive as Season 13 was, Mark willingly surrendering his spot on campus to keep his son Chism in the game when the latter faced automatic elimination. Crosses into Tearjerker territory since Chism outright defied his father's wishes understanding that his time on campus had come to an end, which Dolvett responded by saying: "That's a man speaking right there". That's got to be worth something coming from the trainer you never worked with all season.
  • David's makeover in Season 15 was a major talking point, simply because his transformation was so drastic. Topped off by his daughters' reactions when they eventually realised that that was indeed, their father.
