The Paradise Novels, also known as Project Showdown, is a series by Ted Dekker that consists of the books Showdown, Saint, and Sinner. It is apart of the larger Books of History Chronicles.
Books in this series provide examples of:
- Affably Evil: Marsuvees Black. The Englishman.
- Badass: Saint, an assassin and the protagonist of Saint. AKA Johny Drake. He was was kidnapped, brain washed, renamed, and trained to be the one of the deadliest assassins in the world..
- Marsuvees Black and The Englishman.
- Badass Preacher: Johny in Sinner.
- Big Bad: Marsuvees Black.
- Catch Phrase: Marsuvees has a few, but his favorite has to be "Wanna trip, baby?"
- Evil Is Sexy: Marsuvees Black does his best act this way.
- Names to Run Away From Really Fast: Marsuvees Black. His hobbies include ripping out peoples eyes and taking them as his own.
