Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain was the ninth entry in the Metal Heroes franchise, airing from 1991-1992. It was the second of its Rescue Heroes Trilogy.

The story features the successor of Winspector, the Solbrain unit, whose task is to take out crime and disaster when it strikes the city. Headed once again by Masaki Shunsuke, the new heroes Daiki, Reiko and SolDozer must always be on hand to stop all disasters.

The main heroes are:

Daiki Nishio/SolBraver: The Hero.
Reiko Higuchi/SolJeanne: The Chick.
SolDozer: The lone Ridiculously Human Robot on the team; The Big Guy.

Big Bad: Averted, for there is once again no main villain organization to speak of.

Law of Inverse Recoil: Averted when the Gigastreamer makes a quick comeback - where it isn't fired so much as pointed in the same general direction as the target with brute strength and a prayer - but luckily R&D came up with a safer replacement.
Licensed Game: Notable for being a reskinning of the original game Shatterhand.

Transforming Mecha: SolDozer.
