The funny thing is it actually doesn't take much effort - mostly find-and-replace in a suitable text editor (wish I'd figured it out before). Of course I only tend to do it on the side of other "actual" edits I make, but regardless I can stop if you want.

No, I won't tell you to stop. I will say it pings my own OCD about how things should look in the source, but like I said it makes no difference to the rendered page, so there's no reason to tell you to stop except my own preferences, and that's no justification.

Ah. Me going to all that trouble in the first place is sort of a... I don't wanna say "compulsion" myself, probably more of a long-standing editing habit originally springing from a minor compulsion?

But yeah, clearly we're just gonna end up feedback looping in that regard, so for our mutual convenience: I'll only clear out whitespace with pages I create directly (if that), and I'll leave everything else alone. Sound good?
