A plot device that increases characters' powers which may cause either give them a needed boost or make them uncontrollable.

Power Boosters can make things easier for characters as support, especially in dire situations. They can come in the form of powers usually for characters that typically act as a supporter. Some powers can be used to boost others along with other applications. This ability can also be used to make others' powers uncontrollable, thus leading to their defeat.

Averted Trope of Power Limiter, which limits a person's power.

The objectified form of this trope is Amplifier Artifact.

Anime and Manga

In Fairy Tail, Kyoka uses the Curse, Enhancement, to enhance a target's attributes such as their senses or strength.
Magical Girl Raising Project has Sister Nana who's magic can increase a person's capabilities. For a Magical Girl, their magic also gain a boost.

Comic Books

DC Comics' Blue Lanterns can increase the powers of Green Lanterns when in their presence.
From Marvel Comics, Zach, aka Amp, is a mutant that can output energy to anything around him, such as technology or other Mutants. By using this superpower, he can bolster other Mutants' powers but could also short-circuit them.
- Emma Summers can manipulate the powers of other mutants, which allows her to unlock their full potential.
- Víctor Álvarez, aka Power Man, can manipulate chi, which he can use to enhance vitality or the superpowers of others.

Literature

In The Raven Cycle, Blue Sargent can amplify the abilities of psychics and other supernatural beings.
Keeper of the Lost Cities' Enhancers are elves with the Ability to enhance others' Abilities.

Live-Action TV

In Heroes, Ando Masahashi can project red energy conducts through enhanced humans, amplifying their powers.

Video Games

Infamous 2 has The Beast, a Conduit that has many abilities, including amplifying Conduits' capabilities.
Joule, an ally to Azure Striker Gunvolt, is an Adept with a Septima that can resonate with other Adepts' powers, increasing them.

Web Animation

RWBY's Juane has Aura Amp, his Semblance that can amplify others Aura by giving his own to others. This can enhance their Semblances plus use it to increase his own Aura as well.

Western Animation

In Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Nathalie Sancoeur is akumatized into Catalyst, who has the power to enhance the powers of others.
In Slugterra, Fandangos can boost the abilities of other Slugs and act as support rather than offense and defense compared to other Slugs.
