I trust you. It's mostly the foundation. As you can see, I copy n pasted a bunch so that I could get in all the characters. I'm going to be working the next few days to develop and fix them, but for now, what IS there is pitiful compared to the first one's character page. Also, we can do spoiler characters? Excellent! I was wondering how that worked. Thanks. Also, you can add and edit some if you want, just be aware that I'm going to be tinkering with it a lot, but again, please try to keep it off the general radar for now until it's further along. Thanks for the help!

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

One other thing. Is there a way to hide their names? Like spoiler tag their names? I've tried and it doesn't work for me, and if the name is there (like at the directory up top), then the images being hidden doesn't quite prevent spoilers so much.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

For names, you'd have to use something like "Shamshiel??" in the section header, and put the real name in the spoilers tab.

Basically, the way headers work doesn't allow them to be spoilered, but if you substitute someting in place of the real name for the header like "Spoiler Character 1", then add the real name in the spoilers section, that should cover it.

TV Tropes has the same problem, but in a different way.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Meh. Sounds too complicated for now, so I'll suffice to the images of the one's who need it. Thanks.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)
TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

A new idea came to me. You've probably noticed that a few of the characters (Shamsiel and Queen Aphrodia mainly) have images with 2 pictures of them in it. With 2 outfits. Is there a way to rig it to where the images can be flipped between the 2? I can edit the images so that they're split up if that's possible, that way it would be a single image of the character at a time instead of 2 for one.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Yes, that will work if you split them up.

For Aphrodia, just put her normal outfit in the spoilered tab and her alt in the Spoilers tab, and each can have their own caption.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Phew. I kept having problems this morning with login. Seems alright now though.

Cool, and that's only the images right? The rest of the information stays the same?

Also, does it have to say "spoilered" and "spoiler" on the tabs? For Shamsiel, I would want it to say something like "Normal" and "Formal" For Aphrodia, I would have it say "Dress" and "Armor"

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Yeah, you can change the tags to whatever you want.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Hey, I wanted to let you know that in August, I'm looking to start a few new projects on here, and I figure letting you know now, might give you some time to prepare in case you wanted in, because to be honest, you've helped me a lot during my time here AND you've made great contributions to stuff I've worked on, so I trust your help with these.

First on my list is a series known as "Don't Meddle With My Daughter". It's a manga/doujin series with a super hero theme. It's actually on sale through Barnes n Noble, and overall, I thought it was a surprisingly interesting take on super hero comics, and yes, to be fair, fanservice is also a selling point. For me, it was an example of "Come for X, stay for Y". If you want, I could send you a link to a place you can read it online. Fair warning, the first 3 volumes were a standard manga on the borderline, but after that it crosses the border into Adults-only territory.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Sure. Just keep images posted here relatively SFW. Wouldn't mind that online preview either.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Excellent. Oh, and don't worry about the images, I know that while this site allows H-titles, it doesn't go THAT far. Hell, you've probably noticed by now that I don't even go much into the actual sex scenes on here, because I'm better than that.

I'll send you the link to the main story, as for the rest of the series (meaning NSFW)... I figure you're probably better off finding that yourself (it's probably in the same place as the rest, so it likely won't be difficult). Also, regarding that stuff, it's kind of like Game of Thrones, so to speak, going between "plot with porn" and "porn with plot".

http://mangakakalot.com/manga/uchi_no_musume_ni_te_o_dasu_na_oyako_heroine_funtousu

One final thing, when it comes time to start it on here... PLEASE (I cannot emphasize this enough) PLEASE, let it be put up with the english title and not that convoluted Japanese one, because hardly anybody is going to find it with that complicated name.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Well, we try to use Wikipedia as a default for naming (and this helps search engine optimization), but generally, really long titles like this are either given a shortened form there or referred to by their English name, so you'll be fine on that score.

And thanks for the good taste, you've done a fine job adhering to our rules on stating the facts while staying out of the gutter, it is appreciated.

If you want help on anything else, do let me know.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Ok, good. That'll make things easier.

Thanks, I'm glad you said that and noticed. ^^

Alright, will do. As I said, "Don't Meddle with My Daughter" is just the first of a few projects I'm looking to add on here in the next few months, but I'd rather handle them one at a time. (I already tried doing work on a few other things on here simultaneously and ended up burning out on some of them, so I'm hoping to avoid repeating that). I'll keep you posted on when it'll be time to prepare for the next one.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

I gave this series and its sequels a skim, and the first seems to be Seikon no Qwaser levels of porn (as in, as close to outright hentai as you can possibly get without going that far) with a sizable plot attached, and while the sequels still have an actual plot attached, they drop any remaining pretense of not being outright porn.

The tone seems to be taking ordinarily dark hentai tropes and ending in a victory for the heroes instead of an outright downer ending cliche, which is a nice aversion of dark hentai tropes.

I probably need to give it closer read, but that's what it looks like to me, with a nice side helping of parodying the western superhero genre laced with Ogenki Clinic levels of tongue in cheek sex comedy.

Also, once you do create a page for this, create it with the Western name, but have the alternate Japanese names redirect back to it)

GethN7 (talkcontribs)
TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Yeah. As I said, it dances the lines a bit, but overall a good read.

I do recommend giving it a more thorough read, but a fair warning, there are newer bits of the story that haven't been translated yet, so it's difficult to gauge what's actually happening apart from using the visuals.

By the way, I had told you that my plan was to start working on this in August, not immediately. The reason was because I have some other things going on in my life at this moment (and through July), so I couldn't start something entirely new on here. I can tinker here and there on Kyonyuu Fantasy Gaiden and such, but not start a new series page on here. Nonetheless, what's done is done, so I can see what I can do with it. I was also trying to give you sufficient time to read the series and be familiar with it before the launch, but now I guess you'll be catching up.

But, now I'm definitely going to need your help, and once again: Please hold off on the character page. I'd like to handle that one's start myself again please.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

K.

BTW, I finished reading all this last night, it's hilarious and had some pretty damn awesome moments.

The hentai stuff went pretty far into disturbing territory at times, but I appreciate how this series defies typical dark hentai tropes and ends in happy instead downer endings anyway.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

I know right! That's why I wanted to bring it here, because it sure deserves it. (That and I'm hoping that if more info is available, more will get into it, which will not only keep it rolling, but also possibly lead to someone translating the newer stuff, because if you read all that's available, you'll know that the latest stuff isn't translated AND it has something that looks incredibly important happen with the father and an alien monster invasion).

Yeah, the hentai stuff is weird at some points, but yeah, I too am glad it goes the positive route rather than downer.

By the way, there was something I feel needing to mention, and it involves 2 particular topics that I was probably going to put in the headscratcher page. Not that they confuse me, but I'm just wondering how best to approach them:

1- The Family tree --- Athena. Marries the son of the main villain, whom she had spared years prior BECAUSE she was pregnant (though she didn't know the baby was actually her future husband), and thus Clara, Athena and Point Blank's daughter is also the main villain's grand daughter, who is also almost the same age as her son.

2- Clara's first time --- No i'm not saying I want to get into it much, but i feel some of the details need explaining in that... She kind of loses it twice, in a sense. First is when she's possessed by an alien parasite that temporarily makes her a futa-ish person, so she (kind of) rapes her best friend with that, but then neither one of them remember that incident (so it kind of counts as her friend's first time as a female, while for Clara it's her "male" first time). Later on, Clara gets possessed (or bewitched or whatever) by some kind of relic, and it leads to she and her friend confessing their love to one another and yes, having sex, only this time, Clara is the one who loses her female virginity.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Okay, as to the first one, I'm still trying to work it out myself, but what I can gather is that the dad got flung into a Time Loop, once to the past, once to the future.

The first resulted in Athena becoming the mother of his child, and the second time sent him to the future, where he basically went undercover as someone other than himself to figure out what caused his own mother to turn evil, and the second loop he entered of his own free will.

The time loop occurs twice because the first time sent him back prior to the loop, and the second time sent him into the future.

As for the main villain, we got a case of past self and future self meeting. One version of the main villain would found the second coming of the villain organization and tempted her past self into joining her because the future version got a garbled interpretation of what she saw in the first loop, took it completely out of context, and went full bore evil over it.

Her other self is the one that attempted to reform per her promise to Athena, but was goaded into evil by her future self.

A second trip into the past then back into the present towards the end reveals to the past self main villain how wrong she was and how she got duped by the future self version, and the loop is resolved at the end of the main story with the past version reforming for good, while the future version of the main villain dies unrepentant.

That's what I could gather after multiple readings of the last couple of chapters of the main story, I could still be wrong on some details, the time travel crap is complicated.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Oh no no, don't worry about it in that sense. I understand the family tree and timelines, I just wasn't sure how I should explain them on here. (To avoid getting explicit.)

Allow me to explain again:

Athena and Zen (the main villain, I'm just calling her that for short at the moment): Were around the same age, living in the goddess city in the heavens above, and each was gaining the special powers or "wonders" and if they gained all 7, they were qualified for queen candidacy, but they actually discovered that there's an 8th power.

Zen unlocks it first, and she goes into the future briefly. There she sees someone who appears to be Athena as queen, while SHE is imprisoned. So she goes back to her normal time, and of course flips out. HOWEVER, what Zen didn't know was that the queen she saw, wasn't Athena, but in actuality it was Clara (Athena's daughter and Zen's granddaughter), and as for her being imprisoned, that had actually been a self-imposed punishment for herself, where she would remain under house arrest (with her other children) for a few centuries.

Zen, having returned to her normal time, went on a rampage and then left the Goddess City. She winds up getting captured by the government who experiment on her and get her knocked up repeatedly and they steal her babies (the future villain children). Meanwhile, Athena goes down after Zen, but doesn't find her until Zen is pregnant with her final child (Point Blank), because at that time, Zen had made the deal that if the government allowed her to keep that child for herself, she would act as villain to allow them to test the weapons they made from all their secret experiments. HOWEVER, what nobody expected was for Athena to show up and start fighting against Zen and the original incarnation of the BlowJob organization. About that time, Athena meets BM the Shooter (Point Blank who had been sent back 2 years farther than Athena in a future time jump). They marry and he impregnates her with their future daughter Clara. Then, Athena goes through 2 other major traumas that lead her to retiring from super hero work for 20 years. First is getting gang-raped by a HUGE number of villains, and then when BM the Shooter seemingly dies, she goes and wipes out the rest of BlowJob, and has Zen at her mercy, but spares her because she saw Zen was also pregnant at that time.

Cue the 18-20 years of inactivity, and then where the story "begins". A bit before that, Lady Death Scorpion (or whatever) seeks out Zen who was quietly raising Point Blank somewhere, and reveals what became of her other children, thus Zen comes back as a villain, but this time Clara is the one who sets off to fight them. Then the story's events happen, and Athena unlocks the 8th Wonder power by getting sent back to the day BM supposedly died, only to find out that BM was actually Point Blank, but he had been sent back 2 years further than her. They manage to return to their proper time (although 6 months later) and rescue Clara, convert Zen (and nearly all other villains except for Lady Scorpion), and save the day.

THAT is how the family tree worked.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

There's also some time travel briefly at the very end in the battle against the giant mech. It starts vaporizing everyone, hero AND villain, but Zen sees it as a way to end it all, but Athena sets her straight, and the 2 get blasted into the time stream (after Clara who was sent through too, only seperately). They go back just in time to destroy the mech together, and Clara arrives from her jump just in time to finish things up and save them both.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Hence the ultimately tiny body count in the end.

FYI, I always figured Lady Scorpion is basically future Zen minus willingness to reform, too many details make sense for that NOT to be the case.

Besides, given how she knew everything about what Zen went through, knew what buttons to push, her similar character design, and her rather telling attempts to conceal certain parts of her appearance, and I'd be shocked if it wasn't true.

Update:

I decided to read back over all the appearances of Zen and Scorpion, and more evidence just piles up.

Due to their penchant for appearing nearly naked most of the time, their bodies are drawn in almost the exact same way, and if you edit out the scorpion tattoo and ignore the artificial shading around the masked eyes, they look nigh identical. The author rendered them standing and sitting at different heights most of the time, but if you compare the appearances where they didn't do this, they have the exact same dimensions. Their physical ages also appear to line up, which would also make sense if Scorpion is an alt-Zen.

Both Zen and Scorpion have the exact same motherly feelings for their subordinates. One of Scorpion's last acts before dying is to evac her henchmen so they don't die with her. I also backtracked to Scorpion first meeting Zen, and her outfit is very similar to the Greek style togas from Hypertobia.

It's also worth noting that Scorpion would be apt if she were a more bitter Zen. Zen also considered herself poison because of the horror she went through, but reformed for the sake of her child, and if Scorpion is alt-Zen, she's another version of her from after agreeing to turn villain for her remaining child, but apparently rejected or missed out on the chance to atone Athena offered.

If so, explains why she still has the motherly impulses, but gave up Zen for lost after Zen reformed once more.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Sorry, but I have something that kind of blows that theory of them being the same person to hell.... I own the 3 official manga volumes, and it lists them as separate individuals.

Most information of Lady Death Stinger is either untranslated and/or hard as hell to find, but that's what I know, and I realize it isn't much to go by to try and say anything against yours, but it's simply that they're listed as separate individuals entirely. Trust me. It bugs the utter crap out of me that they never explain who the hell she is either.

Personally, I suspect Lady Stinger has something to do with the alien monsters in the newest chapters, but there's no translation so I can't figure out what the crap is going on beyond visual clues.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

I may have to agree with you. I just stumbled across one of the still yet to be translated side stories, and there is some art (by a different artist, though Tamaki had creative input over their work, so its canonicity is debatable) sketches of various women from the series being pregnant, and Stinger is one of them, and her face does not resemble Zen without the mask, but that could just be the different artstyle, and I couldn't get a translation of whether image was based on author provided details or just speculative concept art.

Doesn't rule it out yet, she could have been listed separately to hide the spoiler if true, and I'd love to find the author's word on it if it exists.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Finally! I've been trying to reply for 2 days, but it only now let's me do anything.

Yeah, that's part of why I wanted to do this series here. I figure if we can get enough info out there, perhaps someone will translate what hasn't been touched yet, and following that logic, perhaps it'll generate enough of a following for there to be more in the future (yes it's not very logical, but humor me. It's a shot). I'm VERY interested in the story that shows Athena and Point Blank's second daughter who takes up the mantle of Eighth Wonder at an even younger age than Clara had, and the details toward the end where Point Blank seemingly stays in another dimension or something. I don't even know their other children's names.

As for Zen and Death Stinger, I'm leaning toward them being separate people, but there's just so little said about Death Stinger that it's hard to fully say one way or another, except that yes... They DO have different faces and ARE listed as separate beings.

One other thing, I recommend not drawing information on this series from the other tropes site, with regarding this. Reason being, first off, I picked up pretty quickly that it's out of date and far behind on the present series' events, so much of the details are actually incorrect on that site. Also, there's lots of misinterpretations on certain characters and relationships, such as saying Zen and Athena are actually the real Greek Goddesses. Yeah... No... I've read the official manga, I've read translations online, NEVER ONCE do they make that kind of a claim. Also, saying characters like Artemis, Athena, and Zen are sisters, is another mistake, because it's pretty obvious she (Artemis) just refers to them as her older sisters (oniisan or oneechan or whatever), in the way that Japanese culture does with people who are close friends sometimes doing.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

I see. It was certainly plausible Artemis and Athena were related at least, and I figured that long before I knew TV Tropes had their own page.

Also, speaking of that, considering how even the main plot tap-dances into territory that got lesser works banned from mentioning there and the side-stories certainly shouldn't be mentioned (and given how they fill in lots of blanks from the main series you can't talk about one unless you mention the other), and I'm surprised the page is still up.

Anyway, I have no intention of drawing information from them because plagiarism anyway, and given the inaccuracies you mention, best not even think about it.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Sorry about my delayed responses, things keep happening that distract me.

Anyway, yeah, it's plausible they COULD be related, but I've seen enough anime to pick up on the "so close they might as well be family" tick that is popular with Japanese series. There's a few of the relationships and other things I've read a bit different from most. Like that business with "Clara being jealous of her parents" I never quite saw it as the fact that she was thinking about her mother, so much as possibly her father... Y'know, because she's close to the same age as him. I don't know. I'll re-read some of it, and see.

Yeah, they go HEAVY into out-of-date information about this series. Some of the tropes are good, but the explanations with them? Not so much.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Say, I noticed that there isn't any way to make an actual "Shout-Out" page for listing all the references something makes to outside sources. As you've probably noticed, this series does that a LOT, and I put a lot of names on the Shout Out trope on the main page, but still feel like I hardly scratched the surface of references. IS there another page type here that would be fitting of putting such information on it?

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Trivia subpage.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

It's been a while. I figure now is as good a time as any to let you know that I am still trying to get the "Don't Meddle With My Daughter" pages up, especially the character page, but due to things getting busier IRL I have had trouble with one of the key parts: Images. Basically I have had problems with tracking down clear images of the characters that I can use. Some of the characters' outfits aren't exactly SFW, so I've been uncertain how to approach them and whether I'd be better off censoring them myself or finding a different picture somewhere, but like I said. It's been hard to find the time to do it. Speaking of which, there's been a new release to the series, but the problem is that I can't find a translated version of it or some of the other previous parts of the series, which in all honesty is another reason things slowed down, because I can't fully tell what's supposedly happening. Just for the sake of asking: You wouldn't happen to know anyone who does translations and stuff like that?

Next on the itinerary for me is that I have some new series that I want to start working on pages for here, but I don't want to jump the gun and leave "Don't Meddle" as a WIP. So for now, don't worry about those. I'm more telling you this part to say there ARE other things coming some day.

Lastly, as you're no doubt aware, while I've been involved in a number of series pages on here. Kyonyuu Fantasy titles have been where my efforts were highest. I heard that Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 (a sequel to the entire original VNs timeline) is coming and of course I hope we can do well on that one too. Granted, I'm actually not as thrilled they chose to release 2 instead of Gaiden 2. Or in the English titles' case "Sideboob Story 2". Since I honestly found Lute and his harem's story to be very fun to read, AND not to mention how utterly pissed off I was that one of my favorite girls got hardly ANY attention in Sideboob Story compared to the rest. Supposedly they fix this with the direct sequel in what would be titled Sideboob Story 2. Which I hope gets released someday. Ideally I would hope to one day have this entire series released in english, because it's well written and among the highest grade VNs I've ever seen. There's also the fact that I've seen the CGs for just about every game in this franchise before and there's definitely a number of them I would like to see and know the story behind. (Spoiler alert: Such as Lute finally marrying ALL the women in his harem and having children with them ALL as well... In my head, the writing for explaining that will likely be very funny.)

Anyway, that's all for now.

Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 is coming

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

You heard me.:)

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Excellent! I just hope they finish up with the rest of the gaiden series. I already know some of how it ends, but I hope to read it for real when it comes out here.

Thanks! (Oh by the way, keep the Characters page hidden for now if possible. I want to do a bit more before people start tinkering with it. I haven't even gotten all the characters listed yet.)

Thanks for adding images to the wiki...

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

But please remember to choose a license -- if you're not sure, "fair use" is always safe -- and add a category for the work it's from and/or the trope its's used on. I've already done this for GladysGaiden1.png ‎ and ShamsielGaiden1.png , but if you remember to do so in the future, we admins will be very grateful!

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't see that. I will try to do that next time. Thank you.

You did know this was coming out, right?

GethN7 (talkcontribs)
TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

I am, and that was the plan. I'm going to grab it when it finally comes out, and then build a page for it after I finish it. Also, just to clarify... I fully intend to clean up the spoilers on the first game's character page, but only AFTER the sequel comes out, because the spoilers in it still hold the primary slot until the sequel's.

Also, there's actually a few more visual novels in the series. Including at least one more direct sequel to bring the total to 3 main entries, and a number of extras/expansions to the story. I can only hope those end up being translated and officially released in the next few years. Here's hoping!

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Thanks for the heads up! (I wasn't aware of it having a release date until now)

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

No problem, appreciate your curation of that page, thanks for sticking around, thought I'd repay your good deeds with one of my own. :)

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

What can I say? ^^ I'm a fan of the series, and honestly, the more information out there, the more talk there is about it, and the more support it gets, the more likely they are to bring the other games/novels in the series out west. ;)

GethN7 (talkcontribs)
TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Thanks. I was planning on making it myself once I was finished going through the story once or twice, but you got it started. Also, I would like to request that you at least leave the character page to me if that's ok? (I like working on character pages most.)

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

of course.

TheFierce1 (talkcontribs)

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'm hoping to start on it next week. For now, I'm getting images and such together in preparation.
