WandaVision/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Base Breaker: Much like in the Thor movies, Darcy has people split down the middle on whether she's ridiculously funny or just plain annoying.
  • Broken Base: Surprisingly, the Vision's episode eight line, "But what is grief, if not love persevering?" generated a wide gulf in opinions among viewers, split roughly between almost worshipful awe at its Heartwarming impact and disgust at the Narm.
  • Ear Worm: Most of the theme songs are amazingly catchy, but nothing matches "Agatha All Along" for its memetic quality.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Jimmy Woo was already popular in Ant-Man and The Wasp, but his popularity hit a fever pitch in this series to the point that many fans are clamoring for him to have his own spinoff series!
  • Evil Is Cool: Agatha Harkness' hamminess, sassiness, and catchy villain song have made her one of the MCU's most beloved villains in record time.
  • Fan-Disliked Explanation: Oh boy, fans were not happy when the well-received addition of Evan Peters' Quicksilver from Fox's X-Men movies turned out to be a random guy who exists for the sake of a boner joke. (Unless he's not.)
  • Moral Event Horizon: While the reveal is darkly humorous in its presentation, it doesn't change the fact that Agatha killed an adorable, friendly dog just to mess with Wanda.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: While Hayward is meant to be seen as an overzealous mad dog whose bullheaded attempts at killing Wanda cause more problems than they solve, a surprising amount of viewers think he's in the right. As shown by not only this very show but in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Wanda is a very dangerous person with a history of destructive behavior and mental instability. And while him violating the Vision's living will and salvaging his remains so he can reconstruct him as a living weapon is a dick move, his intentions are hard to find fault in since Vision's durability and firepower make him exactly the kind of weapon humanity needs to protect itself from another Thanos-level threat.
