West of Loathing is a comical indie game with stick figure people that takes place in a setting based off the Wild West, inside Kingdom of Loathing's universe.

Tropes used in West of Loathing include:

Evil Sorcerer: The Necromancer.
Idiosyncratic Difficulty Levels: Instead of having traditional difficulty levels, there's a regular mode with a "hard hat" item that you can put on in the tutorial - it provides no stat bonuses, but makes the game much, much harder.

Meaningful Name: The town of Ghostwood is a ghost town. Interestingly, although par for the course with this game, it had that name back when it was still a regular town.
Necromancer: There are quite a few of them, but most are small time cultists raising a few skeletons for various nefarious purposes. The big one, though, is apparently the reason they all exist.
Running Gag: There are quite a few spittoons in the game, as it's the Wild West. Your character can examine and search through every one of them to get an item from it. The game, however, will make a huge deal out of you deciding to search each spittoon, and will give you many chances to decide you don't want to.
