Witch Hat Atelier (manga)/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

These things about Witch Hat Atelier (manga) are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Awesome Art: Each chapter opens with an absolutely gorgeous portrait of characters, and any frame in the manga depicting long shots into the distance is stunning to look at.
  • Moe: The apprentices in Qifrey's atelier, particularly Coco.
  • Tastes Like Diabetes: Some of Tetia's actions can be like this, especially when she thanks other people for thanking her. It's mostly of the positive variety, balancing out the darker events and characters in the story.
  • What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: The manga appears at first glance to be aimed at young kids, due to its fantasy setting, young protagonists, and magical elements. Some elements found in Seinen manga, such as graphical violence and nudity, are absent, leading to the impression that the manga may be for kids. The first few volumes certainly look like something targeted at kids, featuring mostly light-hearted magical adventures. In the fourth volume, however, it lays off this appearance, with Euini's forced transformation featuring plenty of body horror.
  • What Do You Mean It's Not for Little Girls?: Just because the manga has girls as its protagonist does not mean that it's targeted at little girls. It contains plenty of mature themes and body horror which is definitely not targeted at little girls.
