What few people may know about Wiccan author Silver RavenWolf is that she writes fiction.
The Witches' Chillers series is a mystery series aimed at teens that generally attempts to conduct Charmed-style goings-on in a more realistic realm. The series centres on three (originally five) teen witches who form a coven called Witches' Night Out. These witches are:
- Bethany Salem, the head of the circle.
- Tillie Alexander, the token black girl
- Nam Chu, the Asian girl who colour-coordinates to the last thread.
Other characters include the mysterious maid and Author Avatar Ramona, who turns out to be a powerful Witch herself.
The three books in the series are:
- Witches' Night Out: Bethany calls The Wild Hunt in order to find out who killed her boyfriend. The original Five-Man Band is whittled down in this book.
- Witches' Night Of Fear: Bethany has to solve a murder before it happens.
- Witches' Key To Terror: a farmer girl asks Witches' Night Out to solve some strange happenings in her town.
This book series contains examples of
- Adults Are Useless (and in some cases, evil)
- Author Avatar (Ramona)
- The Baby Trap (Karen's supposed pregnancy. The group falls for it at first, but Ramona sees it for what it is.)
- Dan Browned: RavenWolf is, according to a good many sources, the Jack Chick of Wiccans.
- Five-Man Band (but Nick and Karen leave the group in the first book)
- The Obi-Wan (Ramona)
- Poirot Speak (Ramona, again)
