- Hey, It's That Guy!: Mr. Eko from Lost was The Dragon in Nature Calls.
- Rapper Tone-Loc as Emilio, Ace's friend on the force in the first movie.
- Tommy Davidson as the Wachootoo warrior that kicks Ace's ass in the second movie.
- Monica is Melissa.
- The Wachati princess is Sophie Okonedo.
- The Other Darrin: Anne Cusack replaces Courtney Cox in Ace Ventura Jr.
- Star-Making Role: For Jim Carrey
- What Could Have Been: There was supposed to be a scene after Ace crashed his car while chasing Dan Marino's kidnappers. The white pigeon landed on his car, he got it singing "I got the white pi-geon! I got the white pi-geon". Then, in a parody of The Birds, he is surrounded by birds that started tearing him apart. Then he wakes up with a big "whew." It was removed since it was too horrible, but ironically in the commentary Word of God says it was funny on paper.
- The giant hook Ace used to knock out two of Einhorn's henchmen was supposed to knock their heads off.
