Ace and the Seventh Doctor decide to visit somewhere really cheerful: a POW camp in World War II Germany.

Guest-starring as Feldwebel Kurtz is some guy named David Tennant, in his first Big Finish Doctor Who role.

Tropes used in Colditz include:
  • "Alone with Prisoner" Ploy
  • Alternate History: Elizabeth Klein is from an alternate world where the Nazis won WW 2.
  • Complete Monster: The Nazi Colditz commander, Schäfer, is a damn near Officer and a Gentleman, who treats his prisoners with stern but genuine respect. His second, Kurtz, however is a vile, violent vicious bully. He's voiced by David Tennant to boot, who is as far removed from the Tenth Doctor as can be.
  • Nazi Germany
  • Portal Cut: Kurtz attempts to shoot at the Doctor and Ace while half-in/half-out of the TARDIS. His gunfire causes an emergency dematerialisation. The results are...unpleasant.
  • Stupid Jetpack Hitler: Klein's world springs from the successful Nazi reverse-engineering of Ace's CD Walkman and the capture of the TARDIS.
