Burning Dog Face/Heartwarming
- Any of his Let's Plays that come to a positive denoument. In particular American Mcgees Alice. You just can't help but be happy for the guy who is so obviously happy himself to have succeeded.
- There's just something about that quiet "whoa" at the end of Portal 2 when the turrets are singing for Chell, intended or not, that tugs the heart strings. Then again he's basically saying what we were all thinking.
- Another point when he's just saying what we're all thinking: sure, he might be fixing Alice's highly fractured psyche but her real life still sucks and he doesn't know how to fix that. Video Game Caring Potential at it's best.
- Then of course there's his proclamation later on in the game, when Alice is reliving the things spoken to her by people in the real world in some twisted version of Ruteledge Asylum, all of whom claim her to be mad, or needing to leave Wonderland for her own good or are just plain jerks.
BDF: No. All of you can drown in a sea of dicks! Alice deserves to be sane! |
- "You're the queen of Wonderland, Alice, you always have been. Let's show this wretched wannabe how you rule."
- During the Alpha Protocol Let's Play BDF spends so long trying to decide whether to save Madison, or the Museum patrons that he has to cut a good bit of his deliberation out of the final episode. However much later when it's a choice between stopping the bad guy or saving Mina (in his game, the love interest), he doesn't even hesitate.
- It's comedic, and Darcy's a jerk, sure, but BDF managed to have Mike get along with him, so when the final boss battle comes he's actually reluctant to take him out.
"I dinae want to kill Darcy." |
