  • Demonic Spiders: The SS Stormtroopers in Castle Wolfenstein are notorious for showing up when and where you'd least expect them, and are very tough to kill for anyone that doesn't have a grenade handy. They will also pursue your character throughout the castle if you don't kill them.
  • Most Annoying Sound: "HALT! AUSPASS!" A whole generation of middle school students learned the hard way that you can't play Castle Wolfenstein on a computer in the library unless you got a hacked version that disabled the sound.
  • Sequel Displacement: The popularity of the FPSes Wolfenstein 3D and Wolfenstein have so overshadowed the originals that many gamers don't even know the series started off as a Stealth Based Game.
