Crescent Dawn is an adventure-thriller novel and the twenty-first book in the Dirk Pitt series, written by Clive Cussler and his son, Dirk Cussler. The book was first released on November 16, 2010 in hardcover, alongside the audiobook and Kindle editions; the paperback version was released in 2011.
While doing underwater explorations off Turkey and on the Israeli coasts, Dirk Pitt and his son, Dirk Pitt, Jr., end up stumbling on Roman artifacts that turn out to be connected a plot to resurrect the Ottoman Empire, while Summer Pitt, the elder Pitt's daughter, stumbles upon a manifest in England that dates to the time of Jesus and sheds new light on early Christianity.
