Cross Ange/Nightmare Fuel

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • The Fantastic Racism against the Norma in general. Even if you are a Norma who otherwise obeys the law and doesn't want to do anything wrong, you are still regarded as lower than shit for the mere crime of being walking Anti-Magic and are shunned as less than human.
    • And, while we don't know if what Ange went through is representative, if it is, that means the BEST a Norma can hope for is being forced to fight or die against extra dimensional horrors in frail robots half the time, and spending the other half of the time in a dog eat dog prison where rape and hazing are the norm, and the newer your are, the more likely you will be mistreated and sexually abused.
  • Episode 3 brings us the death of Zola, and while some may find that good news, it happens after Ange crashes with her in the middle of a battle, and as she wakes up, blood is pooling on her stomach. As she looks up to see the source, a cybernetic eye lands in the blood puddle, and Ange (and the viewers) get the blood is dripping from the exposed eye socket of the now dead Zola, whose lifeless face is hanging right above Ange's.
  • Episode 7 ends with Sylvie frantically calling Momoka, trying to get in touch with Ange, and the last thing we hear is Sylvie frantically struggling with someone before the call goes dead. Consider what we saw of her in the first episode, and the implications are rather frightening.
