Dune is a 2021 science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve and based on the first novel of the Dune franchise. It featured Timothee Chanalet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Zendaya and Josh Brolin. It did well at the box office and with critics. It is set to have a sequel in 2023 titled Dune Part 2.

Tropes used in Dune (2021 film) include:
  • Advertised Extra: Chani appeared in a lot of the film's marketing but only appeared in 5 minutes of the film.
  • Truer to the Text: Compared to the Lynch film, the film is more faithful to the book.
