- Critical Dissonance: Most reviews summarized it as a slightly above average action game, with most scores reaching 6 or 7. The fans? Utterly despised it. The openly antagonistic stance Interplay took toward the fans only further cemented this.
- Dork Age: Considered to be the nadir of the Fallout series due to the glaring contradictions to Fallout lore.
- Evil Is Sexy: Jane. Look at her outfit and her body. Just look at it.
- Fanon Discontinuity: To say this game was disregarded by fans well before Bethesda made it Canon Discontinuity would be an understatement!
- Only the Creator Does It Right: This game was not made by Black Isle Studios, the guys behind Fallout 1 and 2. Thus, it was to be expected. The end results came out, only to prove that this was the case. Cancelling Fallout: Van Buren in favor of this didn't help its case, either.
- Replacement Scrappy: The game itself wound up being this to the anticipated but cancelled Fallout: Van Buren (it would have been called Fallout 3 had it been released).
- They Just Didn't Care: More information on that page.
