Interstella 5555/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Awesome Music: Daft Punk fans generally consider Discovery to be one of their best albums.
  • Cliché Storm: It works, somehow.
  • Complete Monster: Earl de Darkwood.
  • Ear Worm: It is Daft Punk, after all.
  • Narm: Maybe Baryl's reaction to Shep's death would have been less funny if he hadn't been biting his hat to stop from crying...
  • Nightmare Fuel
    • The Earl's backstory and what he does to his previous clients.
    • Just look at Earl's face when he gets the Award.
  • Soundtrack Dissonance: The music and action, awesome as they may be, rarely have much to do with one another. Particularly unsettling when a rather upbeat tune plays during the burial scene about midway through the movie.
    • Then again it is an anime movie. Anime has always had a talent for misdirection when it comes to their soundtracks. You hear a goofy song in say the opening of Dragon Ball or Naruto, you would expect comedy to ensue. However when watching the show you wouldn't believe it being the same franchise in which that goofy song opened.
  • Tear Jerker: Soon after Stella's dream sequence, Shep died.
  • Too Cool to Live: Shep.
