"Stop Having Fun!" Guys - Hosuke Dekai says "It's not about having fun, it's about winning and losing!" in the first chapter.
Tear Jerker:
- Shiron tells Ken to put his faith into Shiron's last attack, which destroys the Jabberwock, but Ken is unable to communicate with Shiron, thus ending their short-lived time together.
- The ending: Shiron defeats the Jabberwock, but after that, all the Legendz disappear, and nobody remembers them; all pictures of Legendz fade, all of the characters' memories are wiped, and all things Legendz related are forgotten or attributed to something else.
Unfortunate Implications - A common fan theory is that one of the reasons the anime wasn't picked up was because the Main Character, Shiron's, name effectively translates to "Whitey". Or "essay," or "historical treatise."
What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids? - This show looks kiddy, but refer to the Humans Are Bastards, and Mood Whiplash on the main page. Also, some of the Legendz had a strong intention of starting a monster war, good (Garion) or bad (Ranshiin).
The Woobie - Dino Sparks, and also Zuou the Bigfoot. The former due to Parental Abandonment, the latter due to Meg's constant initial abuse despite being arguably the nicest of the legendz.
