Moonrise Kingdom
A twee, quirky Wes Anderson film. But we repeat ourselves.
Sam and Suzy, 12, make a pact to run away together, he from his scout troop and she from her parents. The film opened the 2012 Festival de Cannes.

- Everyone Calls Her Social Services: Though she did give her name.
- Giant Wall of Watery Doom: Washes away the sign for the annual performance of Benjamin Britten's Noyes Fludde
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: When Suzy stabs one of the Scouts. It's apparently an epic fight, that results in the motorcycle up a tree and Snoopy getting shot. We see none of it.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Lazy-eye, and some of the other Khaki Scouts.
- Production Posse: Though Owen Wilson sat this one out, and Bill Murray has a smaller than usual role (presumably because he was filming Hyde Park On Hudson).
- Title Drop: In Sam's painting at the end.
