- All There in the Manual: Many of the jokes are callbacks to the earlier incarnations of the show, or from the various pre and after shows. Luckily the viewers have created a handy reference to explain them all.
- Audience Participation: The show thrives on the interaction with and contributions from the members of Chat Realm
- Butt Monkey: Kuhan gets (jokingly) blamed for almost everything that goes wrong in the show.
- Catch Phrase: "Die in a fire"
- Cosmetic Award: During "The Second Annual 2009 GTFO Awards" Andrew Mayne received over a half dozen medals as well as four trophies.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: The flood of the NACA 2011 hashtag that caused the Heroic BSOD described below and the resulting blastback propelled "Brian Brushwood" to become a trending topic on Twitter.
- Fan Community Nicknames: The members of the live chat room are referred to as Chat Realm.
- Fun with Acronyms: The name NSFW could mean any of the following:

- Heroic BSOD: Brian during "Now Apologizing Convention Attendees" after answering a phone-call from his agent on the air informing him that people were angry with the result of the show's call to flood the NACA 2011 hashtag with "Brian Brushwood Facts"
- C. Robert Cargill has one of these coupled with a Precision F-Strike when they start playing the infamous "Bad Romance" video in "We Are All Going To Hell". Also qualifies as a My God, What Have I Done? moment.
- Instant Costume Change: Tom Merrit, during "Now Apologizing Convention Attendees", switched his hat almost every time the camera switched off of him, resulting in 51 different hats worn.
