Neopian Times Writers' Forum/Island Roleplay
The Island is a spin-off of the play-by-post game NTWF Mafia, which in turn was based off of the party game Mafia. It takes place on a deserted island, where several shipwrecked castaways watch their luxury cruise vacation turn into a murderous nightmare as mysterious killings begin to slowly lessen their numbers.
Each player is assigned a different role. There are four killers, one psychic, one healer, one sympathizer, and eight normal players. The killers convene and plot to kill a different character each round. The normal players can cast their vote on who should be lynched each round, with the intentions of smoking out the actual killers before they are all eliminated. The healer can vote on one person to save each round in the hopes that their correct guess can excuse a marked murder victim from their intended fate. The sympathizer secretly feeds the killers information.
It is only a matter of time before we all know who will come out on top. Will the survivors stop the murders before it's too late, or will the killers have the last laugh?
