Unfortunately, it has taken down its online reading component as of August 2, 2010, owing to threats of litigation from publishers. Fortunately there are still other manga aggregators available such as [[Manga Fox]] or Mangareader. For those who wish to thank the ones who are actually scanlating the series they love or download the series straight from the source you can go to Mangaupdates to find the scanlators website/forum/etc.

The site still operates as a news source for what going on in the manga world, and gives updates on manga still being scanlated <ref>If you click the current chapter of the manga your looking for. It'll show the names of the scanlators on the info page. Just do a search for their name and you're good. </ref>
