Pokémon New Dimension: Shadowfall
Pokemon New Dimension: Shadowfall (or Shadowfall for short) is the rather unwieldy title of a Patchwork Fic of the Pokémon franchise, up through Pokémon XD and the Hoenn arc of the anime. It takes place primarily in Slateport City, just before the start of the Pokemon Contest Grand Festival and six months after the end of Pokémon XD. And it was written by a troper called User:Liangnui and is still incomplete, with ten chapters.
For the most part, the story's narrative follows Michael, the main character from Pokémon XD, and his sister Jovi as they go on vacation to Slateport City. Unfortunately, they manage to run into Ash and his Hoenn crew and get themselves tangled up in a new adventure.
It sure doesn't help that Cipher seems to be still hanging around.

- Big Bad Duumvirate: Technically, Giovanni, Ardos, and Nascour.
- Creator Cameo: Kat, an aspiring reporter seen briefly in chapter 7, is a self-insert who is promptly killed by a shockwave.
- Darker and Edgier: It's certainly much darker than the anime canon, but not much more so than the Orre-specific spinoffs. Except for the terrorists.
- Heel Face Turn: Team Rocket, oddly enough.
- Loads and Loads of Characters: The main cast includes Michael and Jovi, Ash, May, Brock, Max, Drew, Wes, Rui, Jessie, James, Meowth, Silver and a lot of villains.
- Patchwork Fic: This fic contains characters from the anime, the games, and components from the manga. The author seems to pick and choose which ones at random.
- Trauma Conga Line: What the story seems to be turning into for Michael.
- Wham! Episode: Chapter 9 and 10. It's only going to get worse.
